Blackhawks and Bedard travel to Wrigley Field for Winter Classic against Blues
Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks traveled to Wrigley Field on an elevated train for the Winter Classic against the St. Louis Blues. The team wore custom gear and enjoyed the unique experience of commuting like Cubs fans. The Blues honored Wayne Gretzky by wearing special sweatshirts and hats featuring "99" and "GRETZKY’S BASEMENT." This gesture recognized his contributions to hockey and the St. Louis community. This Winter Classic marks the 16th outdoor game and the second at Wrigley Field, which previously hosted the event in 2009. The Blues and Blackhawks have a longstanding rivalry, with the Blues winning their last matchup in 2017.
