Blessy discusses Oscar hopes for Aadujeevitham and collaboration with A.R. Rahman
Indian filmmaker Blessy’s film *Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life* has received two nominations at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards and will compete for the Golden Peacock at the International Film Festival of India in 2024. The film has gained global attention, streaming in 192 countries on Netflix. Blessy collaborated with composer A.R. Rahman, who created a powerful musical score reflecting the protagonist's struggle for survival. The film, based on a best-selling novel, tells the story of Najeeb, a Malayali laborer facing harsh conditions in the Arabian desert. The adaptation focuses on Najeeb's emotional journey, emphasizing his love for his wife as his motivation to escape. Blessy included new symbols, like a Coke bottle representing hope, to enhance the narrative and connect with audiences.
