Block of ice crashed into Florida home, origin unknown
A large block of ice fell through the roof of a home in Palm Coast, Florida, but it did not come from an airplane, according to the FAA. The incident occurred in February, and the FAA checked with airlines operating in the area at the time. They found no evidence of ice forming from leaks in any aircraft. Firefighters reported that the ice created a big hole in the roof, landing directly in the living room. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the family who lives there stayed in the house overnight. Neighbors described the damage, with one saying it was "a really big hole." Since the incident, most of the ice has been cleared away, and a blue tarp now covers the damaged area to protect the home. Investigations into where the ice came from are still ongoing.
