Blue Jays split spring training games in Florida
The Toronto Blue Jays split their spring training games on Monday. One split-squad defeated the New York Yankees 6-5, with Carter Cunningham hitting a game-winning homer in the ninth inning. Bo Bichette also contributed with a two-run homer. In a second game, another Blue Jays split-squad lost 4-2 to the Philadelphia Phillies. Chris Bassitt pitched well, allowing one run over 5 1/3 innings. However, the Phillies scored two late runs to secure the win. The Blue Jays now have a spring training record of 14-9 and will play the Baltimore Orioles next.
