Bluesky gains 2 million users in a month, reaching 15 million as interest in alternatives to X grows

Bluesky has reached 15 million registered users, up from 13 million just a month ago. This growth reflects a rising interest in alternatives to X, particularly after recent controversies involving the platform. In November 2023, Bluesky had only 2 million users, highlighting its rapid expansion. However, it still trails significantly behind X, which has over 500 million users, and Meta’s Threads, with 275 million monthly active users. Bluesky's app is currently the most downloaded in the US App Store. The platform plans to introduce a paid subscription for additional features but will not restrict access to its core services.
