Body of man found in maize field, Begusarai

The body of a 35-year-old man was found in a maize field in Ramdiri village, Begusarai district, on Wednesday. The man has been identified as Dipak Kumar, also known as Chippu Singh, from the same village. Police believe that Dipak was murdered by assailants who tried to cover up the crime by pouring acid on his body. The local police chief, SP Manish, mentioned that Dipak had a criminal history, facing about a dozen charges including extortion and violations of the Arms Act. Family members reported that three individuals from the village had called Dipak from his home on Sunday. When he did not return, they filed a kidnapping report with the police on Monday. Investigations into the murder are ongoing.
