Boeing delays 737 Max production restart despite end of machinist strike
Boeing has not resumed production of its 737 Max planes, a month after machinists ended their strike. The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that Boeing is focusing on workforce training and supply chain issues before restarting manufacturing. The FAA had previously mandated a production cap of 38 planes per month due to safety concerns following an incident earlier this year. The agency is increasing inspections to monitor Boeing's manufacturing processes. Machinists at Boeing recently ratified a contract that includes a 38% wage increase after a two-month strike. Boeing's CEO expressed optimism about meeting FAA requirements to eventually raise production limits.
