Bokaro police target noisy motorcycle modifications
Bokaro police are taking strong action against motorcycles that have modified silencers, which generate too much noise. The police chief, SP Manoj Swargiyari, has told all station in-charges to strictly enforce the law and seize the noisy bikes. This effort is led by the traffic DSP and aims to target both the riders and the mechanics who make these illegal changes. The police are responding to many complaints from residents about noise pollution. This issue particularly bothers the elderly, sick, women, and children in the area. SP Swargiyari said, “Strict action will be taken against those who modify bike silencers to create loud sounds resembling firecrackers or gunfire.” The traffic DSP has specific responsibilities to ensure these rules are followed. Police teams are now looking for offenders and will confiscate their vehicles. Those vehicles can only be returned after all legal procedures are completed. Authorities are also investigating the mechanics who are involved in making these noisy modifications.
