Bomb cyclone brings hurricane-force winds to US West Coast
A powerful bomb cyclone is approaching the U.S., bringing Category 1 hurricane-force winds. The National Weather Service has issued warnings for coastal areas of Oregon, Southern Washington, and Northern California, expecting winds of 60 to 95 mph. The storm is forecasted to create hazardous conditions, including widespread power outages and difficult travel. Residents are advised to stay indoors and avoid driving during the storm, which is expected to peak from Tuesday afternoon to early Wednesday. In addition to strong winds, the cyclone will bring heavy rainfall, with some areas receiving up to 20 inches. This could lead to flooding, mudslides, and blizzard conditions in parts of Washington.
