Borealis installation becomes permanent in Singapore
A light installation called Borealis has become a popular attraction in Singapore. The artwork resembles the Northern Lights and uses light beams that interact with natural elements like clouds. The display changes with weather conditions, creating a unique experience each time. Borealis originally launched six years ago in Switzerland and has traveled to many places. Artist Dan Acher, who created it, noted that over 80,000 people visited it in Hong Kong. The success there led to its current home in Singapore's Gardens By The Bay, where it has turned into a permanent fixture. Acher believes Borealis could also work well in other cities like Liverpool. He appreciates the idea of having it as a temporary installation, as it draws visitors and creates excitement. According to him, the installation aims to unite people, regardless of their backgrounds. He sees it as a way to foster connection among individuals. Currently, Borealis will be displayed until March 30. The experience is free for all, inviting both locals and tourists to enjoy the light show.
