Boston Logan Airport to implement $23 rideshare fee
The Massachusetts Port Authority plans to increase rideshare fees at Boston Logan Airport to $23 by 2031. This follows a proposed increase to $15 roundtrip by 2027. These fees would be the highest for any airport globally. Currently, rideshare fees are set at $3.25, with increases to $5.50 in the next two years and $7.50 starting in 2027. Drivers and customers are concerned that higher costs will lead to a decline in rideshare usage. Massport claims the revenue will fund infrastructure improvements at the airport. A vote on the fee increase is scheduled for Thursday, with no plans to delay the decision.
