Boulder High School hosts St. Baldrick's fundraising event

Boulder High School is hosting a St. Baldrick’s event today at 4 p.m. in the school gym. This charity event encourages volunteers to shave their heads to help raise money for childhood cancer research. The goal this year is to collect $100,000, following last year’s fundraising achievements of over $72,000 and $93,000 in 2023. It starts at 3:30 p.m. in the Boulder Creek Meeting Room. This event is for anyone who needs help with their sewing projects or simply wants to enjoy some creative time. The library has a limited number of sewing machines available. A concert featuring the Renova New Music Ensemble will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Grusin Music Hall within the CU Boulder campus. Also on Thursday, the Thompson Jazz Big Bands will perform at Grusin Music Hall at 7:30 p.m. This concert celebrates the career of Associate Professor of Jazz Studies Paul McKee, who will retire soon. It is free to attend. Finally, on Friday, movie lovers can enjoy a screening of “A Face in the Crowd” at 1 p.m. at the Boulder Public Library. The film lasts about two hours, and coffee will be served. Additionally, the Boulder Ballet will perform “Revived” at 7 p.m. at the Dairy Arts Center.
