Boulder upgrading eight key intersections this spring

Boulder city workers are set to begin upgrades at key traffic intersections this spring. The first location will be the intersection of Broadway and Regent Drive starting Monday. The upgrades will involve installing new signal poles, cabinets, and detection systems. These improvements will help manage left-turn signals based on current traffic conditions. The work at Broadway and Regent Drive is planned for the next week, during the University of Colorado's spring break, to minimize disruption. During the construction, there will be detours for bikers and pedestrians. Workers will also close one lane of traffic on northbound Broadway in areas near Regent Drive. Similar upgrades will be made at other intersections throughout the spring. These include Arapahoe Avenue and 15th Street, Broadway and Balsam Avenue, and several others across the city.
