Police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a transgender individual in Anakapalli district. The victim, identified as Dileep Kumar, also known as Deepu, was dismembered and found in three locations. The man arrested is Durga Prasad, known as Bunny, aged 35. He had been in a relationship with Deepu for four years. Police say Bunny grew suspicious of Deepu's loyalty because he was planning to marry another woman. On March 18, Bunny allegedly killed Deepu by strangling her with a cloth. Afterward, he dismembered her body in a bathroom and placed the parts in bags. He then used a motorcycle to dispose of the bags in different areas, including Bayyavaram and Thallapalem. The Superintendent of Police, Tuhin Sinha, stated that Bunny is the main suspect but the investigation will explore if he had any accomplices. Eight police teams have been mobilized to work on this case, which was solved in less than 24 hours.
