Brandon Aiyuk may be traded to New England Patriots

Despite this, Greg Bedard from the Boston Sports Journal believes that a trade for Aiyuk could still happen. He compares it to last year's trade talks for star receivers. However, Aiyuk might not be ready to play until midseason due to a serious knee injury he suffered last October. The 49ers would likely receive less for Aiyuk now than they would have last year. His injury and large contract have lowered his trade value. Even though San Francisco signed Demarcus Robinson recently, losing Aiyuk would leave a gap in their receiving lineup.
