Brendan Greene develops new games to shape the future of the metaverse

Brendan Greene, creator of PUBG, is developing three new games through PlayerUnknown Productions: Prologue: Go Wayback!, Preface: Undiscovered World, and Artemis. These projects aim to test technology for creating large-scale digital worlds that can host millions of players. Prologue is a survival game designed to refine the terrain system for Artemis. It will feature procedurally generated maps and is set for a mid-2025 release. The studio is using community feedback from the Preface demo to inform development. Greene's team is focused on building an open framework for the metaverse, allowing users to modify and create their own worlds. The goal is to develop a 3D internet over the next 10 to 15 years, emphasizing community involvement in the process.
