Brian May excludes "Bohemian Rhapsody" from favorites list
Brian May, the guitarist for Queen, has revealed his list of favorite songs, which include some surprising choices. While May is known for Queen's famous hits like "Under Pressure" and "Bohemian Rhapsody," he prefers the band's lesser-known track, "The Miracle." In a recent social media post, May expressed his love for "Bohemian Rhapsody" by winding up a music box that plays the song. He described the song as a "gem" and even joked about Freddie Mercury's melody line. May enjoys performing "We Will Rock You," particularly as the band relaunches a musical named after the song. However, his favorite song is "The Miracle," which was written by Mercury shortly before his passing. May appreciates its unique beauty and the hope it embodies during a difficult time in Mercury's life. Queen has never performed this song live, likely out of respect for Mercury. In addition to Queen's music, May shared a playlist of his favorite songs on Spotify in 2019. It includes beloved tracks from various artists, showcasing his diverse taste in music.
