Brian May hints at potential new Queen music

Brian May, the guitarist for Queen, has shared that new music from the band could be on the horizon. He mentioned that both he and drummer Roger Taylor are always writing and creating music in their studios. May expressed optimism, saying, "I think it could happen," and noted that he might even have ideas for new Queen songs already. Queen has not released a new album since 1995. Although the band has worked with singers like Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert over the years, they have only produced live albums. In 2023, May indicated that they had started to "dabble a little" in new music with Lambert, who joined Queen as lead vocalist in 2011. Last year, Taylor suggested that they might consider releasing original songs if they feel inspired. May recently launched a new Gibson guitar and spoke about its importance to him. He expressed joy at the sound and design, highlighting that it is made with traditional craftsmanship. He remarked on the emotional significance of the guitar, recalling how he used to admire guitar catalogs with his father.
