Bridge construction near Hanuman Setu receives new funding
The Uttar Pradesh government has approved ₹ 5.51 crore for the construction of a bridge near Hanuman Setu, part of the Green Corridor initiative. This funding brings the total to ₹ 17.19 crore for the project. About 60% of the bridge work is complete, with an expected finish date of June 2025. The project aims to improve traffic flow by connecting key areas and allowing commuters to avoid congested routes. The bridge construction began in October 2024, facing initial delays due to underground wiring issues. The overall Green Corridor project is estimated to cost ₹ 7,000 crore and is being executed in multiple phases.
