Bridgwater Carnival 2024 attracts thousands to Somerset for festive celebrations

The Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival is taking place today, attracting thousands to the Somerset town. It is known as one of Europe's largest illuminated parades, drawing visitors from across the UK and beyond. The carnival starts with events at 10am, leading up to the main procession at 6pm. This event raises funds for charities and boosts the local economy. Bridgwater Carnival kicks off a series of seven carnivals in Somerset, continuing with events in Burnham-on-Sea, Weston-super-Mare, North Petherton, Shepton Mallet, Wells, and Glastonbury throughout November.
