Brighton owner loses £50k betting on losing horse

Brighton owner Tony Bloom lost £50,000 betting on his horse, Energumene, at the Cheltenham Festival. Energumene led early in the Queen Mother Champion Chase but finished last. Marine Nationale won the race, dedicated to the late jockey Michael O'Sullivan. Bloom's other horse, Bunting, also disappointed in the Coral Cup, pulling up during the race. Jimmy Du Seuil won the Coral Cup, with jockey Danny Mullins praising the horse's performance and the training by Willie Mullins.
