Brito hits home run in Guardians' spring training loss

Juan Brito is making a strong impression in spring training for the Cleveland Guardians. His performance keeps him in the competition for the starting second base position. Alongside Brito, Austin Hedges also contributed by hitting a home run in the game. Hedges now has three home runs this spring. Another player, Tyler Freeman, added to Cleveland's total by hitting his second home run of the spring in the sixth inning. However, the game did not go well for pitcher Luis Ortiz. He struggled with his control, walking six batters and allowing four earned runs. Ortiz has faced challenges throughout spring training, having a difficult time commanding his pitches. This was his fifth start, and he has yet to find his rhythm on the mound. Cleveland lost the game 7-3, falling to a spring record of 10 wins, 14 losses, and 1 tie. The Texas Rangers improved their record to 13 wins, 11 losses, and 1 tie. The Guardians have two more games coming up on Wednesday, with one game at home and another on the road.
