Bronson Pinchot shares Shonda Rhimes' two filming rules
Bronson Pinchot recently shared his experience working with Shonda Rhimes on the new Netflix show "The Residence." During the first day of filming, Rhimes laid out two important rules for the cast. She told them to “say the words exactly as written” and “don’t be a–holes!” Pinchot found these rules helpful, noting that they highlighted the importance of the script. The show features a talented cast, including Uzo Aduba and Giancarlo Esposito, and is set in the White House. It follows Aduba's character, a detective, as she investigates a murder. Pinchot described filming as being like “a big Hollywood movie.” He stressed that the show is complex and would require viewers to binge-watch it for better understanding. Pinchot also praised the show's attention to detail. He mentioned that the production recreated the White House on seven soundstages, each as large as a high school. The windows, made of hand-blown wavy glass, resemble those of the actual White House, built in the 19th century. This level of craftsmanship impressed him, as he has a background in architecture. "The Residence" is now available to stream on Netflix.
