Brooklyn man fatally stabbed outside K-pop concert
A man was fatally stabbed outside Brooklyn's Barclays Center while attending a concert on Friday night. Michael Arguy Hernandez Jr., 27, was excited to see J-Hope, a member of the K-pop group BTS. The tragic incident occurred around 9 p.m. when Hernandez got into an argument with four teenage boys. Witnesses say the argument quickly turned violent, leading to Hernandez being stabbed multiple times in the abdomen. After the attack, he walked away but collapsed on Flatbush Avenue as the assailants fled. His aunt described his last words as a plea, saying, "Please don’t let me die." She expressed disbelief and anger over his death, questioning why he was targeted. Hernandez was rushed to a local hospital but could not be saved. He had no criminal record and was described by his family as a kind and music-loving person. Hernandez was in the process of finding stability in his life, having recently turned to Islam. His aunt, who raised him, shared that he loved music and was known for making others smile. The community is mourning his loss, and memorials have appeared near the concert venue and in his aunt's home. Residents remembered him fondly, calling him "Brooklyn" for his friendly nature and connections throughout the area.
