BU men’s hockey defeats UMass, advances to semifinals
Boston University’s men’s hockey team defeated UMass 3-2 in overtime on Saturday, advancing to the Hockey East semifinals. Freshman Cole Eiserman scored the winning goal just under three minutes into overtime. BU, ranked No. 9/7, had led twice during the game, but UMass equalized both times. The Terriers' Mikhail Yegorov made 36 saves, while Sascha Boumedienne assisted on Eiserman's goal. Eiserman's goal marked his 21st of the season, leading the team. Shane Lachance opened the scoring for BU, and Ryan Greene reached 100 career points with an assist.
