Bublik and Moutet nearly fought after Arizona match

Tennis players Alexander Bublik and Corentin Moutet nearly got into a fight after a heated match at the Arizona Tennis Classic. Last week, Bublik won the quarter-final match with scores of 2-6, 7-6 (4), 7-5. Tensions rose late in the game when Bublik started to serve before Moutet was ready. Moutet shouted, “I’m not ready,” and Bublik responded angrily, saying, “I don’t give a s***.” The crowd laughed, but the atmosphere remained tense even after the match ended. After the game, Bublik and Moutet exchanged a quick handshake. However, they soon faced off in a verbal argument, prompting intervention from officials to calm things down. In a video, Bublik can be seen challenging Moutet, asking, “You want to fight?” Tournament supervisor had to escort Moutet away as Bublik urged him to meet outside for a confrontation. Former tennis player Jack Sock commented that Bublik seemed serious about fighting, while Moutet laughed it off. Both players have faced controversy in the past. Bublik has had outbursts during matches, while Moutet was disqualified in 2022 for swearing at officials. Despite the drama, Bublik went on to reach the final in Arizona, where he eventually lost to Brazilian Joao Fonseca.
