Burglary at El Gato penthouse in Los Gatos

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at the El Gato penthouse in Los Gatos. The incident happened on March 15. A caller reported that someone broke into an apartment through the back door and stole some watches. Earlier that day, two petty thefts were reported at Trader Joe's on Los Gatos Boulevard. In the first case, a customer noticed their wallet was missing. It was stolen within an hour before the report was made. In another incident at the same store, a wallet was also stolen, and the suspect later used the victim's credit cards at Apple and another location in Los Gatos. Additionally, a grand theft was reported at Safeway on Union Avenue. A large amount of items was taken, and the suspect was seen leaving the area in a white truck. In the case of the El Gato burglary, there was no CCTV footage of the break-in. However, police believe that cameras in the building might have recorded the suspect.
