Police in Jubilee Hills have arrested a burglar who allegedly broke into the home of D.K. Aruna, a Member of Parliament from Mahabubnagar. The suspect is 48-year-old Mohammed Akram, a tile-setter from Hyderabad. Akram was caught near his home after an extensive search. During the arrest, police found various tools including a hammer, screwdrivers, and a mobile phone, along with the clothes and shoes he wore during the break-in. Investigators discovered that Akram has a criminal history. He has been involved in at least 17 similar cases in Delhi from 2017 to 2024. The break-in occurred on the night of March 15. The complaint was filed by the MP’s driver, who was staying in a room on the first floor. He heard a noise around 3:50 a.m. but did not find anyone. Later, CCTV footage showed a masked man entering the property by climbing a wall. Akram broke a kitchen window and cut CCTV wires before leaving the scene.
