Bus accident injures three mango pickers in Kozhikode

A KSRTC Swift bus crashed into several people who were picking mangoes from a tree by the roadside in Kozhikode district. The incident happened early Tuesday morning at around 5 am near Thamarassery, specifically at Ambayathode. Three people were injured in the accident, with one person reported to be in critical condition. The injured have been identified as Aaramukku Gafur, age 53, Bineesh, age 40, and Satheesh Kumar, age 42. They were initially treated at Thamarassery Taluk Hospital before being transferred to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital for further care. Bineesh and a friend were riding a scooter, while Satheesh Kumar was in a car with a companion when they stopped to collect mangoes. Local residents and passengers helped with rescue efforts immediately after the crash. The bus involved was traveling from Bengaluru to Kozhikode. Authorities from Thamarassery Police later arrived to manage traffic in the area.
