A 29-year-old bus cleaner died after falling from the top of a luxury bus in Pune on Friday morning. The accident happened around 4:15 AM on Ganeshkhind Road. The victim was identified as Sanket Devidas Chailwal, who was from Baramati. He had climbed onto the bus roof to lift low-hanging wires that were blocking the bus's path at the entrance to the Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management. Witnesses said Chailwal succeeded in holding up the wires, allowing the bus to pass safely. However, when the bus entered Ganeshkhind Road, the driver braked suddenly for Chailwal to come down. This caused Chailwal to lose his balance and fall off the bus. He was rushed to a hospital, but doctors could not save him, and he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
