Bushra Bibi leads protest as court hearings continue in £190 million corruption case against her and Imran Khan
Bushra Bibi, wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, led a protest in Islamabad as an accountability court continued hearings in a £190 million corruption case against her and Khan. The court is seeking a report on her non-bailable arrest warrant due to her failure to appear. The court proceedings were moved to a judicial complex due to road closures. Imran Khan's physical remand was extended by six days in a separate case related to alleged incitement of violent protests on September 28. Prosecutors claim Khan's lack of cooperation is hindering the investigation, while his legal team argues that the allegations are unfounded. Khan is scheduled to appear in court again on December 2.
