Businessman's SUV destroyed by arson in Sanganer, Jaipur

A businessman in Jaipur reported that two unknown men set fire to his Thar jeep outside his home in Sanganer. A video of the incident circulated widely on Sunday. The fire started around 2:50 AM on March 20. The 50-year-old businessman returned home at 10 PM and parked his SUV outside. CCTV footage captured the attackers arriving on a motorcycle. One man poured petrol over the vehicle, while the other lit it on fire. A neighbor noticed the flames at about 2:55 AM and called for help. The businessman and nearby residents rushed to extinguish the fire. Firefighters arrived quickly and managed to control the blaze within 15 minutes. However, the Thar, which had been bought in August 2024, was completely destroyed. The police registered a case based on the businessman's complaint. A special team is reviewing CCTV footage to find the suspects, who escaped on their bike just 20 seconds after setting the fire.
