timesofindia.indiatimes.com

Kolkata: Calcutta University has reaffirmed that only university professors will correct postgraduate exam answer scripts, a policy in place since 2018. A recent circular that excluded guest teachers led to controversy and was revised to clarify existing rules. Interim vice-chancellor Santa Datta stated that the 2018 regulations allow only full-time teachers and guest lecturers to set exam questions and evaluate scripts. The revised circular removed conflicting points regarding guest teachers while keeping other guidelines unchanged. Additionally, the university confirmed that examinations for postgraduate science subjects at away centers will follow the previous circular, maintaining the established procedures.
