The California Capital Airshow is back for its 19th year, bringing exciting aerial performances to Sacramento this weekend. It is being held at Mather Airport. Visitors can expect thrilling displays, including performances by the U.S. Air Force U-2 Dragon Lady and the C-17. The Viper Demo Team will showcase its F-16 jet, which has a special 50th-anniversary paint scheme. The U.S. Navy Blue Angels will also perform with their impressive flying routines. Darcy Brewer, the event's executive director, highlighted the Viper demo as particularly spectacular, describing it as fast and exhilarating. Attendees can meet the aircraft crews, adding to the experience. On the ground, there will be static displays of historic aircraft, like Mustangs and Thunderbolts. The event aims to inspire future aviators by giving visitors access to the aircraft and crews. Gates are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 22-23, and flying performances will take place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
