California firefighter Anthony Ganzler died from cardiac event
A California community is grieving the loss of firefighter Anthony Ganzler. He died from a cardiac event on March 17. Ganzler was known for his commitment to helping others and his large mustache. He was a devoted father of two and an Army veteran. Ganzler joined the Fremont Fire Department in 2019. He was off-duty when the medical emergency occurred in Elk Grove. The Elk Grove Fire Department informed Fremont's Fire Chief about his passing. The Fremont Firefighters Association described Ganzler as a "lion of a man." They shared his warm personality, humor, and the love he had for his family. He was a loving husband to Erin and a father to Savannah and Abigail. His fellow firefighters have created a GoFundMe to assist his family. Tributes have poured in from other fire departments. The Cosumnes Fire Department expressed that Ganzler's dedication and service will not be forgotten. A memorial service for him is planned for March 27.
