California on Location Awards 2024 honors top location managers and projects

The 2024 California on Location Awards were held at the Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City, recognizing outstanding location managers and teams. Winners included "Hacks," "9-1-1," "Bookie," and "Unstoppable." This year marked the 29th annual event. Ilt Jones received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his extensive work in the industry. The awards highlighted 43 projects, with over 1,000 shoot days across California, showcasing the resilience of the filming community despite recent challenges. The event celebrated both public employees and production companies that support on-location filming. Categories included Location Manager of the Year and various team awards for both studio and independent projects.
