Camille Villar campaigns for youth empowerment in Caloocan
Camille Villar, a candidate for senator, recently ramped up her campaign in Caloocan City. This area is known for having a large number of voters in Northern Metro Manila. Villar participated in a lively motorcade with Caloocan Representative Oscar “Oca” Malapitan, attracting crowds as they traveled through important barangays to the well-known Monumento Circle. As the youngest candidate in the upcoming May 12, 2025 senatorial elections, Villar received a positive response from local residents and community leaders. During a brief meeting with officials, she stressed the importance of the youth in the nation's future. Villar called for more youth involvement in decision-making and governance. She stated, "We need to empower our youth — not just as future leaders, but as active participants in building our nation today." Villar also shared her legislative goals, which focus on adjusting laws to fit the growing digital economy, improving financial education, and boosting entrepreneurship for young people. With less than two months until the national elections, she is concentrating on the CAMANAVA area, which includes Caloocan, Malabon, and Navotas. Her efforts include visits to local markets and communities, demonstrating her commitment to connect with voters. This grassroots strategy, along with strong local partnerships, is aimed at gaining support as the election approaches.
