Cancer survivors defend conventional treatment against alternatives
Kellie Finlayson, the wife of AFL player Jeremy Finlayson, has shared her health update after a four-year battle with cancer. The 28-year-old is fighting stage 4 bowel and lung cancer. Recently, she returned home from the hospital, where she underwent surgery to remove cancerous tissue from her right lung. In a video posted on social media, Kellie showed her recovery progress by revealing her surgery scars. She looked healthy and bright, contrasting with older footage of her in the hospital. In July 2024, Kellie resumed chemotherapy after initially trying to treat her cancer with alternative therapies, which did not work. After a comment suggested she consider alternative treatments available in countries like Mexico and India, many cancer survivors expressed their anger. They highlighted the risks of ignoring conventional medicine. One survivor noted that such suggestions can be dangerous. Kellie was diagnosed with cancer in 2021, just three months after giving birth. She underwent multiple treatments but experienced a serious setback when the cancer spread to her lungs. Despite this, she remains hopeful and continues to update her followers about her health. In her posts, Kellie thanked everyone for their support and shared her desire to be present for her daughter's future milestones. She and her family are also selling their home to accommodate her medical needs as she continues her treatment journey.
