Canucks' Conor Garland injured, out against Jets

The Vancouver Canucks will be missing winger Conor Garland for their game against the Winnipeg Jets due to an undisclosed injury. Garland did not participate in the morning skate. Coach Rick Tocchet stated Garland has been dealing with various injuries but wants to play. Garland, 29, played in a recent game against the Utah Hockey Club, where he had two shots and was a minus-1 in nearly 20 minutes of ice time. Filip Chytil is also sidelined. He is in concussion protocol after a hit during a game against the Chicago Blackhawks. Tocchet said Chytil felt better yesterday but hasn't provided an update today. In lineup changes, defenceman Elias Pettersson will return to play against the Jets after missing the last game. Victor Mancini will sit out. Kevin Lankinen will be the starting goalie for the Canucks.
