Cape Cod family honors hockey star with memorial fund
One year after Meghan Moore's murder, her family has established the Meghan Constance Moore Memorial Fund. The fund has raised over $200,000 to support scholarships for Cape Cod-area student-athletes and will contribute to New England College, where Meghan played hockey. Meghan and her roommate, Sidney Capolino, were killed by a stalker in Miami. Their hockey numbers have been retired at New England College, and the athletic office will be named in their honor. The Moore family continues to share Meghan's story through their restaurant, Spanky’s Clam Shack, where patrons can donate to the fund. They are also organizing a "Run for Meg" 5K fundraiser on May 10.
