Carlisle softball defeats West York, improving to 2-0

Molly Renninger and Alexis Kline helped lead Carlisle's high school softball team to a strong victory against West York. They pitched effectively, not allowing any earned runs during the entire seven innings of the game. With this win, Carlisle's softball team has improved their record to 2-0. The team has started the season on a positive note with two lopsided victories. In other local sports news, Emileigh Linn and Lilianna Wiley led James Buchanan's softball team to a big win over Fairfield in their season opener. Additionally, Hanna Russell scored her 400th career point, helping Hershey's girls lacrosse team defeat Hempfield in overtime. Shippensburg's Kalia Soverns also made headlines with a solid performance against Northeastern. The community in Gettysburg is coming together to show support for football coach Matt Heiser.
