Carnival Cruise Line celebrates new destination at SXSW
Carnival Cruise Line created a lively atmosphere at Billboard's The STAGE during SXSW 2025, held from March 13 to 15. This concert series took place at Moody Amphitheater in Austin, Texas, featuring various music genres across three nights. The final night was particularly special as Carnival partnered with Billboard to showcase Celebration Key. This is an upcoming exclusive destination in Grand Bahama set to open later in 2025. The venue was transformed into a tropical paradise with vibrant, beach-themed decorations and fun interactive experiences for guests. Visitors arrived via Carnival-branded pedicabs and entered The Paradise Zone, where they could relax on beach chairs and colorful blankets. Activities included a custom cornhole game and an inviting signpost directing guests to different stations offering beach fun. A Celebration Key-themed bar served special drinks, and attendees could receive giveaways like bucket hats or glow sticks by sharing their thoughts on paradise. One highlight of the evening was the surprise upgrade for some guests from General Admission to The Paradise PIT, a VIP section offering a close-up concert view. Guests also enjoyed free cotton candy from the Carnival Cotton Candy Station, inspired by the Cherry On Top candy store. The night featured DJ Jordan Miller, followed by producer Nala, who energized the crowd with her remixes. As the clock neared 9:30 pm, fans in The Paradise PIT waved light sticks in anticipation. The headliner, John Summit, delivered an exciting performance with popular songs like "Where You Are" and "Shiver." For those unable to attend, more highlights from the event will be available on Billboard's platforms.
