Cattle smuggler drowns in Karmanasha River while fleeing
An animal smuggler drowned in the Karmanasha River while trying to escape from police in Kaimur district on Saturday morning. The incident happened at the Karmanasha River Bridge, which is on the border between Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The man, identified as Arman Ansari, was 35 years old and lived in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. He was transporting many cattle in a mini bus when police tried to stop him. Instead of pulling over, he sped away and crashed into a police vehicle. After the crash, police chased him to the river bridge. There, Ansari stopped the bus and jumped into the river to avoid arrest. Sadly, he drowned because of large rocks in the water. Police later found his body and took it to a hospital in Chandauli for an autopsy. Eyewitnesses confirmed that he drowned soon after jumping in.
