CBI charges Sanjay Roy with rape and murder of trainee doctor at RG Kar Hospital

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has charged Sanjay Roy with the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Hospital on August 9. The charge sheet indicates that Roy acted alone, as no gang rape charges were included. The victim was found dead in a seminar room after taking a break during her shift. An autopsy revealed she suffered 25 injuries. CCTV footage showed Roy entering the room shortly before the body was discovered. Additionally, the CBI has arrested Dr. Sandeep Ghosh, the former principal of the hospital, for allegedly tampering with evidence and misleading the victim's family. A local police officer has also been arrested for corrupt practices.
