A special court in Ranchi granted custody to the CBI of defence engineer Sahil Ratusaria for four days in a corruption case. Ratusaria was arrested after he accepted a bribe of Rs 40,500. This incident occurred during a sting operation by the CBI on Wednesday. The CBI initially requested a five-day remand for Ratusaria, but the court approved four days, starting Friday. Ratusaria is scheduled to appear before the court on Monday. The case began after a contractor filed a complaint. Ratusaria, who works as a garrison engineer, allegedly asked for a bribe of Rs 54,000 to clear payments for completed civil work. The contractor's firm had finished work worth around Rs 27 lakh, but the payments were delayed. After negotiations, the bribe was lowered to Rs 40,500. The CBI acted on the complaint and caught Ratusaria "red-handed" during the operation.
