Cebu City begins financial aid distribution to barangays

inquirer.net

The Cebu City Government will begin releasing financial aid to barangays on March 17. Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia announced that P400 million is allocated, with each of the 80 barangays receiving P5 million, provided they meet the requirements. Currently, 20 barangays have completed the necessary steps, including submitting project proposals. Those that do not comply by March 28 will be part of a second distribution batch. The city has requested an exemption from the election ban to continue aid distribution, but the Commission on Elections has not yet approved this request.
