Cebu City police arrest two more gun-for-hire suspects
Cebu City police arrested two more members of the Nadera gun-for-hire group on Monday, March 24. The suspects are Rostom Sanchez Sialana, 25, and Kian Labitad Dumasig, 18. They were linked to Jerson Tapere, who was previously apprehended. The police conducted a follow-up operation in Paradise 3, Barangay Kinasang-an after an attempted murder. The victim, Rodolfo Dumasig Jr., was shot on Saturday, March 22. Authorities identified Tapere as the gunman, while Sialana and Dumasig allegedly served as lookouts. Both suspects are also believed to be involved in street-level drug dealing. They are currently in police custody and are facing drug-related charges. Police Lieutenant Colonel Maria Theresa Macatangay expressed concern that, without the arrests, their illegal activities could worsen. The police will investigate any other crimes connected to the suspects in Cebu City and nearby areas. They are also working to find other members of the gun-for-hire group. Macatangay hopes that these arrests will help reduce shooting incidents in the city.
