Cerro de Pasco confirms high-grade metals in Peru
Cerro de Pasco Resources Inc. has released final assay results from its Quiulacocha Tailings Project in Central Peru. These results confirm high levels of silver, zinc, lead, gold, and copper. They also show increasing amounts of gallium, which is important for high-tech and renewable energy industries. This data indicates that the metals are consistently found at various depths and across a distance of 1,000 meters in the project area. The project has potential not only because of the valuable metals but also due to the presence of pyrite, which may be recovered as a by-product. The company used advanced drilling techniques to gather over 1,000 samples from the deposit. These samples were carefully transported to a laboratory in Lima for analysis. The methods used for testing ensure the integrity and accuracy of the results. CDPR holds the mining rights for the Quiulacocha area, which contains significant historical tailings from past mining operations. The facility covers about 115 hectares and is estimated to contain around 75 million tonnes of material. The Quiulacocha Project aims to provide economic benefits while also focusing on environmental restoration and job creation for local communities. The company believes their approach to mining can serve both economic and ecological purposes.
