Chase Dollander struggles in final Cactus League start
Chase Dollander had a tough end to his Cactus League season on Sunday. The young pitching prospect struggled in his final outing against the Brewers, giving up six runs, five of which were earned. He allowed six hits over 3 1/3 innings and struck out six batters while walking one. Dollander's performance included two home runs, bringing his total to five homers allowed in 17 2/3 innings this spring. His final ERA for the season was 7.13. On the offensive side, the Rockies faced challenges as well. With many of their main players resting, they managed only five hits and struck out 12 times in the game. Outfielder Zac Veen went 0 for 4 and learned he had been sent to Triple-A Albuquerque. Veteran Sam Hilliard, however, had a slight improvement, going 1 for 3 and raising his batting average to .125. Looking ahead, the Rockies will face the Brewers again on Monday afternoon. The team expects to have several pitchers, including Ryan Feltner and Jimmy Herget, on the mound.
