Chawrasia receives special invitation for Hero Indian Open

SSP Chawrasia has received a special invitation to compete in the Hero Indian Open golf tournament. This event has a prize fund of $2.25 million and will take place at the DLF Golf and Country Club starting Thursday. Chawrasia is a two-time champion of this tournament, having won in 2016 and 2017. He has also been a runner-up four times, in 1999, 2006, 2013, and 2015. He is one of three past champions returning to this year’s competition, along with Keita Nakajima from Japan and Marcel Siem from Germany. The tournament will feature a total of 138 players, including two recent champions, Richard Mansell and Joshua Berry. Mansell won the Porsche Singapore Classic, while Berry triumphed at the Kolkata Challenge. Other notable players in the field include Callum Hill, John Parry, Johannes Veerman, and Ryggs Johnston, who will make the competition even more exciting. Golf enthusiasts will have the chance to attend, as the organizers have opened the gates for spectators.
